The concert was billed as “An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music” and attracted an audience of more than 400,000. Thirty-two acts performed outdoors despite the sporadic rain. Bands who played included Joe Cocker and The Grease Band, Johnny Winter, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, and The Who just to name a few.
